I must admit that I’m a little leery of making too many conclusions based on her experience. What I take from it is that our everyday self-centered view of the world isn’t the only possible one. Her experience sounds like the same experience sought after by mystics. For me, mysticism isn’t valuable as a tool of learning arcane secrets from quaint and curious volumes of forgotten lore (as some in the Western tradition seem to treat it) but rather as transformation how I perceive the world.
