I thought his ideas were very interesting. Especially, the notion that tribal societies don’t necessarily link religion and morality, and the notion that some religions must have enemies to promote themselves.

I thought that was interesting too. It boggles my mind (conditioned as it is by modern Western religion) that religion would be divorced from morality.
