Today, I am grateful for…
- … the end of a semester that frees me to study what I choose at my own pace.
- … healthy children.
- … the mother of my children.
- … my mother.
- … my new-found positive outlook.

I am grateful for…
- … the chance that I’ve had to get to know my wife.
- … the renewed knowledge that sleep is important. I haven’t made sleep a priority this weekend, and it shows. I’m grateful that I’m aware enough of that to take correction.
- … the chance that I have every day to take walks while at work.
- … the relationship that I have with my daughters so far. May I continue to nurture it.
- … my ability to learn new things.

I am grateful for…
- … a half-baked idea for a new blog (shh! don’t tell anyone about it yet) that I’m really excited about. I think I’ll have fun with it even if no one else pays attention (which is a good sign).
- … the chance to learn stuff, one of my favorite things to do.
- … the opportunity to watch the crazy, improbable miracle of life as I watch young things sprout and grow.
- … the perspective that watching things die gives me.
- … the good fun I have with my wife.

Today, I’m feeling grateful that…
- I’m not a sex slave. I wonder how much porn features sex slaves.
- I get to take a class this semester on linear systems theory.
- I have a loving family.
- I like the people that I work with.
- I have so much art so readily available to me.
